I've managed to complete a piece for I Challenge You v.2 - 1 week left! during the past few weeks. The challenge consisted of a personal challenge for everyone who enrolled. My challenge was issued by isthisthingstillon: "I challenge you to paint me something as detailed and rich as your usual work, but using a limited palette of a brown, a blue and a white."
Well, that's what I tried to do. It turned out to be quite a hard color palette to work with, but it was an interesting and learnable experience.
What's up next? Well, there's still that previous landscape painting lying around, I have just started working on it again.
There is still something bothering me right now: because the paintings I make are quite big (average 40~50cm x 60cm) they take quite a while to complete (at least for me, because I'm still learning and have to correct more things, which takes more time). The problem is that it feels like I'm submitting almost nothing (like one thing a month or so). That's why I'm thinking about maybe (also?) creating something smaller on a weekly or even daily basis (like the Daily Paints and 365 Days Of Doodles project). You can submit way more if you create smaller stuff, but quality is also a challenge of course
I'll think about it... (TO BE CONTINUED)

Update #40: Night Watch Time Lapse Video
It's been a while, but it's finally done: the Night Watch time lapse video, in which you can see my painting process :D
Update #39: Night Watch
It's been like an age since my last update and it's also been quite a while since I posted my last painting, so I figured an update would be appropriate at this time :-) This is a sneak peek at what I've been doing regarding painting for the past few months:
I've been in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam a few times over the last year, which was very impressive! It inspired me to try to paint a famous Rembrandt painting (on scale 1:5, otherwise it wouldn't fit in my room): The Night Watch. Besides that, I thought it would be a nice idea to also record the timelapse videos of (most of) the painting sessions and connect them if the painting is read
